Natural and Sustainable Farewell Flowers
Losing a loved-one under any circumstances is incredibly hard and as a Floral Designer we work sensitively with you to create a bespoke, eco-friendly, casket top blanket.
We typically deliver these arrangements directly to the funeral director, ensuring they are carefully placed on the casket and travel beautifully with it to the service. This guarantees the flowers remain a focal point throughout the journey and the ceremony itself.
Available Sizes
We offer a range of sizes to suit your needs:
- Three-foot arrangement: £200 (approximately 90 cm long and 30–45 cm wide)
- Four-foot arrangement: £270 (approximately 120 cm long and 45 cm wide)
- Five-foot arrangement: £340 (approximately 150 cm long and 45 cm wide)
Each arrangement is created using seasonal flowers and foliage, arranged to reflect your chosen colour palette and the individuality of your loved one. Our designs are naturally abundant, inspired by the beauty of a garden herbaceous border, cottage garden or a woodland, offering a softer and more organic alternative to traditional funeral arrangements.
We use a variety of sustainable materials, such as willow, cardboard, palm leaf shapes and moss base for all casket arrangements. These fully compostable designs are ideal for Natural Burial sites and will decompose naturally, gently returning to the soil if left at the burial site.
Variations
We offer options that include posies of flowers or plants within the arrangement. These can be removed after the service for family members to keep or plant in memory of your loved one. For more information on this option, please talk to us direct.
Personalisation
We can add thoughtful touches to make the arrangement unique, such as colours with personal significance, favourite flowers (when in season), or elements like dried flowers, or even a cherished item.

Delivery
Unless otherwise stated, the casket top blanket will be delivered directly to the Funeral Directors. I also ensure the arrangement is carefully placed on the casket and travel safely to the service. This guarantees the casket top blanket remains a focal point throughout the journey and the ceremony itself.
Delivery to the chosen Funeral Director is within 10 miles of the SN2 7HZ postal code.
Care Instructions
If taking the casket top blanket home after the service, please spritz with water daily and place in a cool environment. This can help keep it fresher for longer.
Alternatively, you can gently take the blanket apart, making sure to cut the stems and pop in your favourite vase using the flower food provided. Another option is once the blanket has been taken apart, share with family/friends.
Refunds and Returns
We hope that you are pleased with your farewell flowers. However, should you encounter a problem with them please do get in touch as soon as possible.
Sustainability
At Pots and Petals we source from local flower farms who grow without the use of pesticides. We operate a low waste policy and our flowers are never wrapped or displayed in plastic or floral foam. By buying British flowers over imported flowers you are chosing to significantly reduce your carbon footprint.
