Carefully Crafted Moments
Tucked away in a quiet little sanctuary of my sweet little studio, floral magic is happening. Whether it's creating a bouquet, floral centrepiece, dried arrangement, or one of my stunning living wreaths, no two days are the same!
Pots and Petals loves to get creative and draw on inspiration from cottage gardens and country lanes.
Using a variety of locally sourced foliage, along with an array of fresh and dried flowers, each creation is unique in colour, fragrance, texture and design.
Whatever the occassion, get in touch today, as flowers are always a perfect solution.
The Benefits of Locally Sourced Flowers
In recent years, our understanding of sustainability and how important it is for our planet, has evolved significantly. Growers, floral designers and flower lovers alike are embracing the changes. Sustainability is no longer about just being green, its about connecting with our environment, our communities and finding a balance across people, planet and profit. Pots and Petals is proud to support local flower farms, and help our UK industry in the following ways:
Health & Wellbeing:
Locally grown flowers do not require chemicals to prolong their lifespan, thus reducing the risk of exposing floral designers to cancer-inducing ingredients.
Carbon Footprint:
The flowers with the lowest footprint are grown outdoors in fields, whilst this means some flowers may only be available for 3 weeks of the year, they will be much stronger in stem, and hold more water, than those forced to grow.
Biodiversity:
Smaller-scale flower farms often grow a wider variety of flowers, giving floral designers more choice.
Wastage:
Buying from local flower farms means less packaging waste, and any green waste will have less chemical residue, making it easier to compost and re-use.
Profit:
Supporting local flower farms means profits can be re-invested into expanding their farms, rather than to the 'middleman' involved in moving our flowers around the world.
By ordering through Pots and Petals, you too can embrace a sustainable future for the floral world.
